Phase 1
Since 2001, Bridge and Tunnel has collaborated with over 50 refugees, asylum seekers and now migrants to produce creative responses to a host of issues in the form of performances, poems, short films, new media projects (some of which are available on-line).

Participants of the Kooch Project (Kooch means 'migratory' or 'nomad') were trained in aspects of visual arts, media, and workshop delivery.
This phase also saw group members going into schools to deliver anti racism workshops and sharing their stories as a means of building community cohesion and shared understanding.

During this process, writer and filmmaker Tina Gharavi worked alongside the group to pen a screenplay, Ali in Wonderland, about the new migrant experience.
As a refugee herself, the resulting script was partly autobiographical and inspired by those that met on the project.
